Our View:

The United Nations has announced this year’s theme for International Women’s day as being “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”. ?

This stands at being perfectly accurate considering Women are rising not just in technology but also in all spheres of the economy.

However, according to the International Telecommunication Union, only 63 per cent of women are using the Internet in 2022, as compared to 69 per cent of men. ??

This is why, women from all spheres, women of all kinds- innovators, tech experts, entrepreneurs and activists have come together to create more opportunities and enable access to digitization for all women. ??♀?

Women entrepreneurs on Shark Tank, with every pitch they make, are furthering this idea in their own ways, for themselves first and then for their kind!

An AI for Collaborations? ??

With Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Chat GPT, LinkedIn- A Microsoft owned company has launched ‘Collaborative Articles’ that is powered by this very AI. ??

The program is set to provide AI-generated prompts based on which specific users will be called in on for their expertise and input. ??

In this feature, users will be able to look at how many people have contributed to the article and their contributions will be highlighted within it. These articles will also be featured on the LinkedIn feed. ??

If it wasn’t that cool already, an additional component includes a ‘Community Top Voice Badge’ in key skill areas which acts as an extra incentive for professionals to provide their invaluable advice and experience!

This recognition holds validity only for 60 days on Collaborative articles following which members have to keep writing on these articles to continue to hold the badge. ??

Our View:

While this seems like a rather small integration, it is a good move to use AI to help boost member engagement on the platform. ??

LinkedIn summed it up quite well by saying-

Because?starting?a conversation is harder than joining one, these collaborative articles make it easier for professionals to come together and add and improve ideas - which is how shared knowledge is created.

Not just that, with the ‘Community Top Voice Badge’, it allows LinkedIn to showcase user expertise while also proving to be a great incentive for users who would like to give the audience their opinions. ??
