Good morning, shiny people!

It's hump day! No, please get your head out of the gutter, that's not what it means. Hump day is another name for Wednesday (the hardest day of the week, some argue).

But, worry not. We're here to make it slightly better.

Keep reading to let the magic happen!

Look What's Trending???

*Not* The Last Of Us

Streaming fanatics in India, assemble! You know all that Succession FOMO? It's about to go away from our lives very soon because Jio Cinema just scored the rights to HBO content. ????

After Indian Premier League India and announcing some thousand in-house projects, the streaming platform is also going to let us watch the next season of House Of Dragon. Not that we would ever watch anything illegally. No, never.

But, this move is likely to make JioCinema change the streaming game in India. Why? Because they also have Warner Bros. Entertainment on board in a partnership, meaning that most of Warner's top-rated content will be available only on JioCinema. ??

Our view:

While JioCinema may be another subscription we get soon, it may actually be worth it?

For starters, it'll have the stuff the country consumes the most -- cricket, the top films, and the globally trending shows. ??

But it will also have something big players like Netflix and Amazon Prime don't have as much of just yet -- Indian content. That's not all, they've signed regional content on too.

Now, if only, we could just watch everything on one platform. Ah, a girl can dream.??

Going Bananas Over Art

You know the saying, "you are what you eat"? Well, one person took that a bit too literally when they ate a piece of artwork that was on display at a museum. You know, for ? aesthetics.?

The artwork in question was a banana duct-taped to a wall by an Italian artist, and it was worth a whopping $120,000. Yes, you read that right – a banana taped to a wall, worth more than most people's annual salary.

But instead of admiring the artwork, this person decided to take a bite out of it. Actually, not just one bite – they ate the entire banana!

And while it's many, many things, can it also be considered performance art? ??

Jokes aside, we we don't condone the destruction of art, but even we have to admit that this person's bold move launched a thousand memes. And that, we're here for.

Are You Content, Though?

You're probably not ready for this, but you're probably been a part of Panopticontent? ??

It's this concept from the 18th century where prisoners were held in a circular prison with a tower in the middle, so guards could watch them at all times without the prisoners knowing if they were being watched or not. But, no. It's not as dark.

Well, the Panopticon is back, and this time it's not for prisoners. It's for all of us, thanks to the internet and social media. We're living in a world of Panopticontent, where everything we do online is being watched and recorded.

Like, picture yourself in the Van Gogh exhibit half-sliding on the floor to get a good angle. Now picture that being the background of someone's post with you clearly visible in the background. Viola, Panopticontent! ?

SYSCA puts it best: "Panopticontent is a portmanteau that I stumbled across on (the soon-to-be-defunct site) Twitter, which first appeared in (the soon-to-be-defunct site) Buzzfeed News, and it describes the way that not only are we keeping each other under constant surveillance by watching each other, but we’re recording it and turning it into content too. Love that for us!"

So, the next time you see something akin to Doja Cat vaping in a cat costume at The Met, you know what it is. ??
