Driving productivity with workspace design
In the modern fast-paced and hyper-competitive entrepreneurial environment, #productivity is a key factor that determines the #success of any #organization. At most times, efficiently and effectively being productive can be the defining difference between a profitable company and one marginally staying afloat. One of the most overlooked factors that can significantly impact the productivity of a workforce is the design of your workspace.
#Workspacedesign refers to the physical layout and interior design of a #workspace, which includes every inch of the space, from the layout of desks and chairs to the paint scheme, lighting, and positioning of the various decoratives and design elements. The overall #design has a significant impact on the productivity and well-being of employees, and those who thoughtfully invest in the design of a workspace are bound to witness a positive #impact.
#Employee well-being is among the top positive impacts of having a well-designed workspace as it aids in reducing stress and fatigue while aiding productivity and overall job satisfaction. Having ample natural lighting and using plants as decoratives are two simple design steps to take, two steps that can have a positive impact on the work environment, by default.
The workspace design additionally helps in amplifying productivity by enabling employees to focus on the task at hand. There are various elements that can easily aid this like using absorbent materials to reduce noise, designated quiet areas, and minimal distractions.
Another aspect that has to be considered for the improvement of productivity via workspace design is to focus on interpersonal collaboration and communication. Having an open layout in your office allows this, and so do designated boardrooms that provide space for productive discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Technology is another crucial player in driving productivity in a workspace. A workspace with a well-thought-out design incorporates the latest technology to streamline various processes and improve communication. Integrating video conferencing into boardrooms is one such example that helps employees to collaborate with remotely available team members.
Finally, we need to recognize that workspace design cannot be a solution that works for everyone. Every workplace is unique and requires unique solutions to make it the perfect workspace that boosts the entire workforce's productivity.

Lijo Jose Pellissery has come out with an all-new movie and we couldn't help ourselves but feature it! 'NANPAKAL NERATHU MAYAKKAM', named in English as 'LIKE AN AFTERNOON NAP' is a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual drama written by S. Hareesh. The screenplay was inspired by a story written by the late actor and the director's father, Jose Pellissery, and has been conceived visually to reminisce the viewers of the theatre scenes in Kerala, back in the 70s and 80s.
Upon release at the?International Film Festival of Kerala, the movie received wide critical acclaim, with a lot of praise directed towards the direction, writing, and performances of the cast. After quite a long time, a director has tapped into the true acting potential of Mammootty, reminding one why he was called the thespian in the first place (Watch out for his performance during the mirror close-up, tea shop, and bar scenes!). Theni Eshwar's beautiful frames have done much more than justice to the brilliant performances on display, adding to the soul of the movie!
The film takes us through the life of James, one of the tourists on a visit to Velankanni in Tamil Nadu. What unfolds is a portrayal of the dreamy hallucinogenic events that happen between two sessions of sleep, or was it all one long dream? It's for you to perceive on your own and let us know!
