In 2016, Akamai launched the Akamai Technical Academy (ATA) to provide nontraditional STEM talent a pathway into tech through foundational skills training for entry-level jobs. By 2023, they made the ATA program available on Coursera, offering global access and flexibility for learners of all backgrounds. Currently, with over 4,000 global learners enrolled in two professional certificate programs - Network Engineering and Customer Consulting & Support - Akamai equips individuals with skills applicable across the tech industry.
