Weekly Ethylene Outlook

Key Market Updates:

● Inter Pipeline Limited has begun production at its new 1,100 M Lbs/yr Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Fort Saskatchewan, AB Canada. The unit became operational in December 2022.

● Enterprise Products remains shut down at its 1,650 M Lbs/yr PDH unit in Mont Belvieu, TX. The unit was shut down in mid-December and current expectations are to attempt restart by January 18, 2022.

Key Market Updates:

● Advanced Composites Mexicana completed an 8-day T/A at its PP Resins unit in Aguascalientes, Mexico.?The unit went offline on December 26, 2022 and resumed operations on January 2, 2023.

● Braskem began a 40-day T/A at its 450 M Lbs/yr Green Ethylene unit Triunfo, Brazil. An expansion project that aims at increasing production capacity up to 573 M Lbs/yr Green Ethylene will be completed along with the T/A in mid-February 2023.

Key Market Updates:

● INEOS Koeln GmbH is on schedule to perform a 10-day T/A at its 441 M Lbs/yr LDPE unit in Cologne, Germany on December 5, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on December 14, 2023.

● Slovnaft Petrochemicals rescheduled a T/A at its 442 M Lbs/yr Ethylene unit and 220 M Lbs/yr PP unit in Bratislava, Slovakia. The 1-month T/A was previously scheduled to kick off in May 2025, but has been rescheduled to kick off in March 2024.

Key Market Updates:

● CHN Energy Ningxia Coal Industry restarted its 661 M Lbs/yr PP (Line 2 1st Branch) unit in Yinchuan, China on January 6, 2022. The unit was shut down for an unplanned outage on December 22, 2022.

● Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical began a 20-day T/A at its 154 M Lbs/yr HDPE (old Line B) unit in Zibo, China on January 5, 2022. Expectations are to restart by January 24, 2022.

● Sinopec Zhongyuan Petrochemical Industry restarted its 132 M Lbs/yr 2PP (new) unit in Puyang, China on January 4, 2022. The unit was shut down for a T/A on December 26, 2022.

● Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium restarted its 353 M Lbs/yr PP 1 unit in Golmud, China on January 8, 2022. The unit was shut down for a T/A on January 1, 2022.

Key Market Updates:

● Manali Petrochemical Limited continues planning and scheduling for a capacity expansion plan at its 44 M Lbs/yr PG unit in Chennai, India. Construction is expected to kick off by May 2023 will increase the production capacity up to 154 M Lbs/yr.

● Tabriz Petrochemical Company is on schedule to perform a 22-day T/A at its 300 M Lbs/yr Ethylene unit in Tabriz, Iran on June 19, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on July 10, 2023.

● Sasol Polymers is on schedule to perform a 15-day T/A at its 331 M Lbs/yr LLDPE unit in Sasolburg, South Africa on September 16, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on September 30, 2023.

● Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited is on schedule to perform a 30-day T/A at its 794 M Lbs/yr PE 1 unit in Port Harcourt, Nigeria on October 22, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on November 20, 2023.
