Key Market Updates:
● NOVA Chemicals restarted its 2,800 M Lbs/yr E3 Ethylene unit located in Joffre, AB Canada on September 25, 2022. The unit was shut down for a T/A on August 7, 2022.
● ExxonMobil Chemical restarted its 3,300 M Lbs/yr BOP-2x Ethylene cracker in Baytown. TX on September 28, 2022. The unit was shut down on September 12, 2022 for maintenance.
● Chevron Phillips is preparing to restart its 3,330 M Lbs/yr 1594 Ethylene unit in Cedar Bayou (Baytown), TX. The unit was shut down on September 4, 2022 and is expected to be online by the upcoming weekend.
Key Market Updates:
● Dow Quimica Argentina continues a major T/A at its 547 M Lbs/yr Ethylene Cracker 1 and 1,433 M Lbs/yr EPE units in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. The units were shut down on July 4, 2022 and are expected to resume operations on October 5, 2022.
● Oxiteno completed a 28-day T/A at its 90 M Lbs/yr EO unit in Maua, Brazil. The T/A was performed during September 2022.
Key Market Updates:
● Kazanorgsintez PJSC began a T/A on the 1,093 M Lbs/yr HDPE unit in Kazan, Russia on September 22, 2022. Expectations are to restart the unit by October 17, 2022.
● ExxonMobil Chemical France SARL continues a T/A at the 882 M Lbs/yr Steam Cracker unit at the Notre-Dame de Gravenchon Chemical Complex, France. The unit was shut down on September 21, 2022 as a result of the strike and was tentatively restarting at the end of September 2022. The strike continues and restart of the unit is now tentatively expected in October 2022.
● PKN Orlen SA rescheduled a T/A at its 220 M Lbs/yr Metathesis Propylene unit in Plock, Poland. The approximately 3-week T/A originally expected to Kick-Off in early October 2022, is now scheduled to begin in early March 2023.
Key Market Updates:
● Ningbo Jinfa New Material restarted its 1,322 M Lbs/yr PDH unit in Ningbo, China on September 28, 2022. The unit was shut down for an unplanned outage on July 29, 2022.
● Oriental Energy (Zhangjiagang) New Materials restarted its 1,455 M Lbs/yr PDH unit in Suzhou, China on September 28, 2022. The unit was shut down for a T/A on September 12, 2022.
● Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Chemical restarted its 440 M Lbs/yr PP 2 unit in Dalian, China on September 25, 2022. The unit was shut down for an unplanned outage on September 14, 2022.
● Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development is on schedule to complete an 18-day unplanned outage at the 661 M Lbs/yr PP I unit in Tianjin, China. The outage began on September 27, 2022 and is expected to restart on October 14, 2022.
● LG Chemical Limited began a 77-day T/A at the 2,557 M Lbs/yr Ethylene unit in Yeosu Yongseong, South Korea on September 23, 2022. Expectations are to restart the unit on December 8, 2022.
Key Market Updates:
● Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) began a 14-day (previously reported 25-day) T/A at the 794 M Lbs/yr LDPE unit at the 760,000 b/d Jamnagar, India SEZ refinery on September 27, 2022. Expectations are to restart the unit by October 10, 2022.
● Reliance Industries Limited is on schedule to perform a 30-day T/A at its 882 M Lbs/yr Ethylene unit in Nagothane, India on March 17, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on April 15, 2023.
● Sasol Polymers is on schedule to perform a 20-day T/A at its 1,146 M Lbs/yr PP and 1,102 M Lbs/yr PE units in Secunda, South Africa on September 11, 2023. Expectations are to resume operations on September 30, 2023.
