Both British Columbia and Manitoba issued invitations for immigration candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
Candidates were invited to apply if they had skills in key employment areas, a job offer in the province, or had previously studied in the province that nominated them.
Immigration results May 3rd—10th
Please note that each Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has its unique method of assigning scores to candidates for immigration purposes. Therefore, the cut-off scores for immigration draw in one PNP should not be compared to cut-off scores from PNPs in other provinces. Additionally, some provinces may use different terms to refer to Invitations to Apply (ITAs), such as "Notifications of Interest" or "Letters of Advice to Apply". However, all of these terms refer to the same kind of invitation.
British Columbia (B.C.)
B.C. invited 77 candidates through the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams of BCPNP, including the EEBC option.
Candidates with eligible professional experience in in-demand sectors targeted by the BCPNP (healthcare, childcare, construction, tech, and veterinary care) were invited. Minimum scores varied per draw, with varying cut-offs:
The International Graduate stream (which includes the EEBC option) is designed for individuals who have graduated from an eligible Canadian university or college in the past three years. To be eligible for this stream, you must have a job offer from a B.C. employer. The term "EEBC option" means that this stream is an enhanced PNP stream that aligns with the federal Express Entry system. As a result, eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool can be invited by the BCPNP through this stream to immigrate and settle in the province.
Manitoba
Manitoba invited 371 candidates this week, through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). Candidates were invited across three different streams and an occupation-specific draw.

In the first draw, the authorities selected candidates currently employed in occupations in high demand in the province. 18 ITAs were issued to these candidates with experience in professions matching the National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes.
*The NOC system is Canada’s national system to classify and define different jobs in the country’s labour market.
In the second draw, 242 eligible candidates were invited under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream. This stream includes the Manitoba Work Experience and Employer Direct Recruitment pathways. To be invited, candidates had to achieve a minimum ranking score of 836.
In the latest draw held under the International Education Stream, 76 eligible candidates were invited. This stream is designed to attract graduates from Manitoba schools who can fulfil the employment requirements of the province. The International Education Stream comprises three pathways: Career Employment, Graduate Internship, and International Student Entrepreneur.
In the recent draw held under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, 35 candidates with a minimum ranking score of 698 were invited. The Skilled Worker Overseas stream is a pathway that allows people from abroad who possess in-demand skills and professional experience to be nominated for immigration and settlement in Manitoba. This stream comprises two pathways: the Manitoba Express Entry pathway and the Human Capital pathway.
Out of the 371 invited candidates, only 66 had a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
