Pertama Digital Secures Contract with My Digital ID for Digital ID Onboarding

Pertama Digital Bhd’s subsidiary, Dapat Vista (M) Sdn Bhd, has secured a four-month contract from My Digital ID Sdn Bhd to provide digital identification onboarding registration services. In a Bursa Malaysia filing, Pertama announced the contract without disclosing its value. My Digital ID specialises in ICT system security and IT services. The contract includes an option for a three-month extension, contingent on negotiations regarding service scope, pricing, and terms. My Digital ID retains the right to terminate the contract before its expiry. This partnership marks a significant step in enhancing digital ID services in Malaysia.

Princeton Digital Group Completes Phase One of AI-Ready Data Centre in Johor

Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has completed Phase One of its advanced 150MW JH1 data centre campus at Sedenak Tech Park in Johor. This initial phase, delivering 52MW of capacity, showcases PDG’s SG+ strategy, facilitating seamless infrastructure expansion across Singapore, Batam, and Johor. Incorporating sustainable technologies, the JH1 campus also features solar panels for renewable energy. The project secured an RM1.28 billion green loan and aligns with Malaysia’s digital and economic growth plans. The completion emphasises Malaysia’s role as a regional digital economy leader and supports technological and economic development in Johor.

Malaysia Sees Significant Growth in Digital Talent and Skills in Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, Malaysia recorded 42,835 digital jobs, reflecting a strong demand for digital talent driven by rapid digital adoption. The top three industries with the highest demand were IT systems design, measuring and control instrument manufacturing, and banking. IT systems design saw the fastest growth in digital talent, with a 439% increase from the previous year. Key skills in demand included computer science, customer satisfaction, and analytical skills. The highest hiring demand was in Penang, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur. Recommendations for employers include investing in talent development, flexible work policies, and advanced recruitment strategies.

HIMSS and SNS Network Partner to Drive Malaysia’s Digital Health Transformation

SNS Network Technology Bhd has partnered with the global health advocate Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) to advance digital healthcare transformation in Malaysia. This partnership makes SNS Network the first HIMSS Digital Health Technology Partner in the country. Under the agreement, SNS Network will implement HIMSS-developed digital health tools, including the electronic medical record adoption model (EMRAM).
