ChatGPT Prompt Engineering, “Let’s Think Step by Step”, and other Magic Phrases. By Mr Newq

Unlike other PE tutorials, I like the linkages in this tutorial, which reflect the author’s depths of the literature. I also like the categorization of PE below ones:?

  • Few-shot learning: ?where the model is trained to recognize and classify a new object or concept with a small number of training examples
  • The “genius in the room” mental model - Structured Prompt
  • (a) The problem statement, (b) the expected output, (c) context knowledge.?
  • Chain of thought
  • Fine-tuning learning

In general, Pingping Consultation’s opinion towards Prompt Engineering is, it should be a community-based approach. It is a black box with uncharted territories on frameworks and methodologies, and only the community’s collective wisdom is tour de force. And this post is a great example.?

As a Technical Writer, I’m Worried about ChatGPT by?S. E. Ireland

The author discusses their different reactions to the development of chatbots, based on their different roles. As technical writers and college instructors, they would be concerned about the potential impact of chatbots. As a copywriter, they are paying attention to chatbot development, but as creative writers, they are not worried since chatbots lack the unique elements that make creative writing valuable. The author believes that chatbots will never be able to produce content with a soul, regardless of technical skill.

Takeaway:

  • This is a really in-depth exploration of ChatGPT in a technical writing context. RE: S.E. Ireland
  • Also, in technical writing and a lot of other areas such as Generative Art. It seems the Generative AI-s provide quick and cheap solutions, which do not facilitate continuous interactive enhancements.
