This week, we look at the creeping expansion of roaming policy proposals, and why a TV asset deal between SCA and its affiliate partners is going to happen.
This week the Senate Committee inquiry into last year’s Optus outage reported. It has recommended (amongst other things) that the Government look at mandating roaming during network outages. There will need to be some firm guidelines to prevent the abuse of roaming capability once it arrives.
Media reports have emerged (again) of an impending deal for the sale of Southern Cross Austereo’s TV assets to their respective metropolitan partners. These talks may fail like the others, but there is a real logic to this sale that makes it inevitable sooner or later.
