APPRECIATE STUDENT ART
The Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) winter student exhibition from Jan. 11-14 displays final, diverse works by Academy of Fine Arts Prague students from this semester across several venues. Mediums include sculpture, paintings, photographs, architecture, design, graphics, and new media. The showcase is free to attend and takes place in the main AVU buildings plus the Modern Gallery and ?aloun?v atelier studio.
SWAP AND SHOP FOR A GOOD CAUSE
The Czech branch of IPYG and Dom Dobra invite you to a charity pop-up at Vnitroblock on Jan. 12. Head to Hole?ovice to support Ukrainian children in the Czech Republic. The event, a clothes swap and sale of Ukrainian designer goods, also features music, and swing dancing lessons. START THE WEEKEND WITH STAND-UP
Comedian Simar Singh performs his latest solo show on Jan. 12 at Metro Comedy Club. The Indian-born, Prague-based stand-up has seven years of comedy experience and a decade of being a stage performer. His latest act is called From India, with Love. Singh has sold out prior shows; advance ticket purchase is advised.

HEAR A GRAMMY-CALIBER PERFORMANCE
Renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will return to Prague on Jan. 13 for an evening accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra at O2 Arena, months after his previous show there sold out. With a career spanning operatic arias, pop songs, and more, the Grammy-nominated international superstar has sold nearly 100 million records worldwide.
TOUR A GOTHIC LANDMARK
Experience the Gothic architecture and hidden spaces of Prague's historic Stone Bell House on Jan. 13 as part of an English-friendly guided tour. The tour unveiled the secrets of the 14th-century space from its religious influences to royal history. Also, view normally closed areas like the chapel and cellars. Tours are available on select dates for CZK 100, or private group tours can be pre-booked for five or more people with at least a week's notice.

TRY OUT FOR ROLLER DERBY
Prague's premier roller derby team, Prague City Roller Derby, is recruiting new players and officials for the upcoming season at its Beginners' Day on Jan. 14. Beginners and advanced skaters can attend an open training session in English and Czech to learn the fast-paced, full-contact sport. While roller derby is mostly played by women all are welcome and no experience is necessary. Recruitment day includes trying skates and the chance to try a fun game of sock derby.
