5 Important Salesforce Job Trends for 2023?

?New year, new beginnings, new trends.?As 2022 has come to an end, it’s time to look forward to what the future holds for the Salesforce world. These are the five trends we can expect:?

  1. The Salesforce economy: With a looming recession and layoffs happening at Salesforce, is there a dark cloud hanging over the Salesforce ecosystem? Whilst there is room for concern, there are also a lot of positives to focus on.
  2. Specialization: In light of the fresh new talent entering the ecosystem, professionals are looking for ways to stand out in the crowd and advance their skill sets. Specializations can range from Salesforce products (ie.OmniStudio), to other softer, knowledge-based skills such as design.
  3. DevOps Center: This new tool became generally available in December 2022 and has taken the ecosystem by storm. Soon, it will be the only way to move changes from one environment to another.??
  4. Slack skills: Ever since Slack was acquired in 2020, Salesforce has made it a mission to integrate the tool with as many platforms as possible. So, why not become a pro at it?
  5. Flow: With the impending retirement of Workflow Rules and Process Builder, it might be a good idea to touch up on your Flow skills.

4 Salesforce DevOps Predictions for 2023

Many people will say that DevOps Center is one of the hottest products to have entered the ecosystem in the past year.?Orgs are implementing the tool to manage their releases and give low-code and pro-code development team members a single set of configuration and code to work with. But, due to the economic uncertainty we’re currently facing, it’s fair to say there are a few other trends to keep in mind.?

Budgets have shifted and investments will generally be pulled back unless an IT or software investment delivers radical savings within 12 months. When money is tight, demonstrating value, impact, and growth data is crucial.

Criticism towards DevOps is also going to grow – businesses will fail to reap the benefits because they have only implemented the tool without changing their working practices. Plus, many companies have and will continue to reduce IT operations personnel, assuming that “ops” will somehow happen by itself in DevOps.?

Companies with large system portfolios will seek methods and tools for assessing and comparing the success and performance of their projects, products, and teams reliably and objectively.?

Lastly, as low-code/no-code folks struggle with large-scale test automation, tool vendors will seek ways to automate more testing tasks, such as test generation from recorded user actions, test healing, auto-regression, etc.?[Read More]
