Creating a Schedule-Triggered Flow in Salesforce: A Step-by-Step Guide
The end of support for Process Builder and Workflows is fast approaching… While some admins are still transitioning, many have been enjoying the flexibility and power of Flow for years now. However, there’s no denying that it can be complicated at times. Let’s take a closer look at one flow in particular: the schedule-triggered flow.?
Remember scheduled actions in Process Builder and Time-Based Workflows? These allow you to automate tasks on a scheduled basis, eliminating the need for manual intervention while ensuring that processes run smoothly at set intervals.?
Schedule-triggered flows have the same purpose but are more powerful than Workflows and Process Builder. While Time-Based Workflows and Process Builder scheduled actions require specific criteria to be met before they can be triggered, schedule-triggered flows only need a start time – allowing you to automate processes on a scheduled basis without the need for user input.
These flows can be set up to run once, every day, or every week as required, and are run separately for each record in the batch. So whether you want to update records, send out email notifications, or perform calculations at specific intervals, they can give you the flexibility to do all these processes automatically.?

Why Admins Should Beware of Salesforce Sandbox Preview Orgs
The next batch of release notes will be here in next to no time. Before we get lost in updates, it’s also worth knowing that each Salesforce release offers a sandbox preview window to ensure that sandboxes receive new updates first.
This window provides a great opportunity to get your hands on key features while trying things out in a safe environment that already reflects your own metadata. ?
As a sandbox preview takes place before other environments are upgraded, you’ll have plenty of time to test out the new release and make sure that any customizations continue to work as expected.?
Just be careful, because these environments can come with the odd bug, and deploying between environments on different releases can create a headache in terms of planning, so be sure to make an informed decision before opting for the sandbox preview. It’s also worth looking into pre-release orgs and scratch orgs as alternatives.?

Good news at Salesforce HQ: it’s been a strong month with Salesforce (CRM) stock going very much in the right direction, thanks, at least in part, to the launch of Salesforce’s flagship AI product Agentforce – no surprises there.
