A new year means new job trends, and if you’ve been keeping up with the Salesforce job market over the last couple of years, you’ll understand just how tumultuous it can be.

If we look back at 2024, it started off pretty rough no thanks to layoffs, job market saturation, and tightened budgets. However, the latter part of the year – hello Agentforce – managed to bring a new lease of life to the market and the ecosystem as a whole, and although it’s still difficult to predict how this advancement will affect the workforce in the future, 2024 ended much better than it started.

Trends to watch out for this year are aplenty, and include influencer marketing, US economy changes and regulations, and AI-driven solutions. You definitely haven’t heard the last of Agentforce, and it’s likely most trends this year will be very Agentforce-focused.?

Trump’s Re-Election: What It Means for Silicon Valley and Salesforce?

January 20th marked the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, and his return to office signalled the next steps for AI in the US – most pointedly the repealing and dismantling of Joe Biden’s Executive Order of AI.

This order requires companies developing AI models to report on their training methods, security measures, and testing data – requirements Trump has criticized for stifling AI innovation. The new regime prioritizes rapid AI development, with Congress arguing that Biden’s order must be repealed to achieve this.

Trump’s pro-AI stance and alignment with the tech industry could spark a new golden age for Silicon Valley, further cementing US tech companies as global leaders. With the sector already dominating the S&P 500, growth and innovation seem promising. However, deregulation brings risks, particularly with concerns about unchecked AI and its global impact, and inflation also remains a key challenge requiring careful management, so we will have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Every Salesforce engineer has their own path and projects, working with tools and languages such as Apex, Flows, or LWCs, but due to Salesforce’s wide range of offerings, even some senior engineers lack experience and knowledge in key areas such as JavaScript.

Some of the most essential concepts to make sure one is kept up to date with include:

• Scopes and Scope Chain: Including global scope, function scope, and block scope.

• Closure: The combination of a function bundled together (enclosed) with references to its surrounding state (the lexical environment).

Understanding Scopes, Scope Chain, and Closures is crucial when working with JS. Salesforce Developers are not often given a chance to have rich experience in every aspect of Salesforce development, due to the diversity of Salesforce. The Bull and The Bear Case for Agentforce: Is Salesforce Really the Future of AI?

Agentforce has been both loved and scrutinized ever since its announcement, but for good reason. For a tool as magical and life-changing as Marc Benioff claims it to be, it has to withstand the test of both expectations and time, which is why 2025 is going to be so crucial.

On the one hand, some argue it’s a good time to be bullish about Salesforce, but opinions differ. Over the past year, its stock (CRM) has risen nearly 25% from $260.87 on January 8 (2024), to $324.93 on January 7 (2025). However, Guggenheim analyst John DiFucci recently downgraded the stock to “Sell”, citing challenges in monetizing AI.

On the other hand, Principal Architect and Salesforce MVP Robert S?semann, who owns stock in Salesforce, was critical of John DiFucci’s reasoning. Robert is not the only one with a more bullish stance on CRM, and there may be good reasons for this, including Salesforce’s rapid-fire acquisitions, pivot to Agents, plans to hire, and increases in revenue.

Whether the bull or the bear come out triumphant at the end of this is unclear so far, but an evergrowing and adapting battle of the two sides is very much currently at play.

Once that’s down, getting started with Queuable requires understanding the basics of OOP, and from there, picking up the nuances of the interface can be learnt next.

Understanding what queuable jobs are (and when to use them) is crucial, and from there, navigating Finalizer as well as AsyncOptions and AsyncInfo classes will help to both customize and more accurately execute knowledge.
