About this weekend- how I kinda sorta rested…
I had carved out time to rest this past weekend. When I woke up on Saturday morning with my back almost locking, I realized I had to kinda-sorta stick to those plans if I wanted to be refreshed and well-rested for the challenging week ahead.
On Saturday, I rested in the morning and took a walk in the afternoon before settling down to try two recipes I had found online and saved on the Recipe Keeper app.
These are the recipes I tried:

Oven pepper steak recipe link
On Sunday, I slept in a bit and did my morning routine for 30 minutes. I adapted this morning routine from?Hal Elrod’s book The Miracle Morning; it’s called SAVERS. For the exercise part, I did the easy yoga routine on the?FitOn?App. For the reading part, I read a few pages of Oprah’s book Wisdom of Sundays.
I finally enjoyed the bread for breakfast and oven pepper steak for lunch. I had the steak with a cup of?EasynTasty?Spicy jollof rice with the pepper steak. I had celery and mixed berry juice for a mid-afternoon snack. I am glad I tried?Super Coffee?and was inspired to look into monk fruit sweeteners and also have tried?ChipMonk’s?red velvet cookie bites and decided to start keto baking.
With regards to work, I was mindful to take it easy. I did reading and writing for the most part.
I edited my script for the seventh episode of my LinkedIn live, Pozo’s Monday Motivational Moments. This week I spoke of visualization and acting ‘as if.’
Here’s the link to the replay of this week’s episode:
I had a brief writing session for my upcoming third self-published book. Stay tuned for more news on the book. Visit the links below if you’d like to learn more about the two books I self-published on November 30, 2020.
I spent some time reading?Clif Smith’s book Mindfulness Without Bells and Beads. This book is great and I am reading it slowly as I get to the 8-week course part. I will enjoy working through the book each week in the upcoming weeks.
This week, I will be mindful of wellness and intentional about what I consume. I will daydream of receiving?Tabitha Brown’s?McCormick’s Sunshine seasoning,?Dr. Mark Hyman’s cookbooks, and?Naya F. Powell’s?Utopia Spa and Global Wellness?Senegal/The Gambia’s October 2022 retreat as gifts, along with new teas to try.
