Weekend Food For Thought - Don’t Try To Predict the Future, Create It
This week, I sat across from a young lady in the train who seemed flustered.
As the train rumbled along, she took a pack of tarot cards out from her bag and began to shuffle them.
She dealt them out to herself and screwed up her nose at the result, clearly disappointed.
My guess is that she thought that she wasn’t going to have a very good day as a consequence of what she had read.
I wanted to grab her attention and encourage her that it doesn’t have to be like that.
She doesn’t have to rely on a random set of cards to be happy.
Her destiny isn’t determined by chance.
Because we don’t need to predict the future, we need to create it.
We don’t need to worry about what will happen, we need to make it happen.
We don’t need to scowl at our circumstances, we need to smile at our opportunities.
