The survey, expected to conclude in two months, will ensure a comprehensive and discrimination-free list of eligible households. The eligibility criteria have been relaxed, enabling families earning up to INR 15,000 per month and those owning two-wheelers or refrigerators to apply. Additionally, households affected by natural disasters or mishaps will be included under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana if missed during the PMAY survey. A portal will facilitate online and offline applications for the scheme.
The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) reclaimed property worth INR 120 crore in Malagala village, Nagarabhavi Layout, which had been illegally occupied for over two decades. This move is part of BDA's broader effort to address widespread land encroachments in the city. The action follows a similar demolition drive in the Machohalli area of Nagarabhavi Layout, where several illegal structures were removed last week.

With 100,000 of 330,000 properties already registered, HDMC aims to improve compliance and reach its INR 141 crore tax target by March 2025. The initiative provides on-the-spot assistance, enhancing public services and encouraging timely tax payments to support the region’s financial health and governance.
