Expanded Actions by Zoho Flow Availability for Zoho CRM
Great news! Zoho Flow’s powerful automation capabilities are now available for Standard and Professional editions of Zoho CRM. This update extends your CRM workflows beyond Zoho, integrating seamlessly with third-party apps like ActiveCampaign, Microsoft Teams, and Asana.
Actions by Zoho Flow enables you to automate tasks across multiple platforms directly within Zoho CRM. This means managing workflows, such as scheduling appointments or updating task boards, becomes simpler and more efficient.
These enhancements boost productivity by streamlining routine tasks and improving data consistency across platforms. Whether you're nurturing leads or managing projects, Zoho Flow makes it easier to handle complex workflows effortlessly.
Optional Fields in Blueprints for Zoho CRM
Navigating through CRM Blueprints just got easier with Zoho CRM's new feature: including optional fields in transitions. This enhancement offers flexibility, allowing users to provide additional information when it’s most relevant without making it mandatory. Let’s dive into how this works and why it’s beneficial for your workflow.
In the context of Zoho CRM Blueprints, transitions are the steps that move a record from one state to another. Previously, transitioning required filling in mandatory fields. Now, with optional fields, users have the choice to enter additional information during a transition, which can be useful but isn't strictly necessary to move forward.

Imagine you’re using Zoho CRM to manage sales deals. During the negotiation stage, there’s an optional field for “Discount Details.” Not every deal involves a discount, so this field might not always be relevant. With the new feature, sales reps can fill out this field only when a discount is being discussed, making the process more efficient and focused.
This feature allows your team to move through workflows more efficiently by reducing unnecessary data entry. It also provides the flexibility to gather additional insights when needed without interrupting the flow of operations. This balance of structure and flexibility is key to maintaining productivity while ensuring your CRM remains a rich source of information.
Estimates renamed to Quotes in Zoho Books
The "Estimates" module has been renamed to "Quotes" to better reflect its function of offering fixed pricing and sending legally binding documents.
Despite this name change, the process of creating, sending, and managing your estimates remains the same.
All new templates will be named "Quote," and you have the option to edit existing estimate templates to align with the new terminology.
Enhance Security in Your CRM with Field-Level Permissions
Many clients are surprised to learn that Zoho CRM allows not just module-specific user permissions (Contacts, Accounts, Deals) but also field-specific permissions. This is crucial for managing sensitive data effectively.
Field-level permissions enable you to display a field to a user while restricting their ability to edit it or completely hide a field from certain users. This means you can include more sensitive fields in your CRM, ensuring only authorised users can view and edit them.
To help you get started with this powerful feature, I’ve created a brief video tutorial below. This tutorial will walk you through the steps to configure field-level permissions, making your CRM more secure and tailored to your business needs.
