sixth edition of the newsletter data uncollected

This week, we need to talk.

Welcome to Data Uncollected, a newsletter designed to enable nonprofits to listen, think, reflect, and talk about data we missed and are yet to collect. In this newsletter, we will talk about everything the raw data is capable of – from simple strategies of building equity into research+analytics processes to how we can make a better community through purpose-driven analysis.

This week, we need to talk.

?Oh, I didn’t mean that in a scary way. I mean it like a you-talk-for-this-week way.

?You see, I am still not done with my research and compiling notes on the topic I want to bring next to you. Did I get into a rabbit hole? Maybe. It’s a bit sunnier outside these days, which means more reading near the window with my tea. Besides, with almost 7000 words of the past 5 editions, I think you deserve a break from my voice. Let’s hear yours…

?I have a challenge for you – below is a picture that holds the theme/the topic I’m bringing next in this room. Take a look at those pictures and share the common thread/theme from it. I have been dropping hints on it in the past two editions. You can share it via tagging me, commenting on the post for this edition, a personal message here (on LinkedIn), or a Harry Potter-style pigeon. Choose your way to respond. Only one condition – I will not give away the response until next week. So, anywhere you share, all you are getting is love-filled acknowledgment.

?Chances could be that we are thinking on different spectrums. I still want to hear you. If you guess it right – I’ll work with you to find a way to uplift your voice and work in a way that’s meaningful to you. And, if your guess is wrong – well, that would only become more topics for the future editions, right?

?Here you go with the pictures.

?What’s the connecting theme within picture A (other than that they are all common scenarios from the nonprofit industry)? What is connecting pictures A and B?

?What am I picking from here to talk about?

***?So, what do I want from you today (my readers)?

Today, I want you to

  • Share what do you think is the topic you are reading next based on these pictures. I love free flowing creativity and imagination. And, I know you have both!

?

***For those reading this newsletter for the first time,?here is some intro of this newsletter?for you. :)
