A week in a tent - teaching and learning
Last week was mostly spent in a tent, in a field and at the marvellous Clonter Opera Theatre. I was helping tutor at The Great British Music Camp and alongside my sax skills, I used my journalism to help a group of students produce the final concert programme.
It was an exhausting week but so rewarding - whenever I work with young people, I learn as much as I teach.
The music was extraordinary and everywhere, but this small group of young people interviewed, videoed and photographed the activities with professionalism and dedication. It was genuinely inspiring. Great work!
Now, back to the real world.
