TikTok's 'Scheduled Breaks'???
New tools?have been added to TikTok for those of us that just can't get enough. Firstly, break reminders will pop up for users who?opt-in in settings, alerting them to take a screen break to limit endless scrolling. Compulsory?'digital wellbeing prompts' are also being added for TikTok users between the ages of 13 to 17 who have used the app for more than 100 minutes in a single day.
2022 Beauty Fest???
Commerce capabilities are being expanded by YouTube, this time through direct shopping in?Beauty?Fest 2022?livestreams. Viewers will be able to shop products they see on-screen directly within the YouTube app, with big name guests amplifying the reach of the video site's latest event. Watch the trailer?below!

New Engagement Options Arrive on LinkedIn???
Following River's pitches for B2B client's and LI engagement at an all time high, this one might be of interest. Not only are?LinkedIn?enhancing product?listing capabilities, but they're looking to expand in-platform newsletter capabilities. New options to include hashtags and?@mentions in newsletters are predicted to extend reach and boost engagement. Company page Admins will also be able to respond to direct messages as their brand via an account switcher increasing brand connection and helping to build a community on the networking?site.
Twitter Test: Launch Reminder Feature 'Product Drops'??
Never miss out on the launch of a new product from your favourite brands again (and reduce impending?FOMO) with?Twitter's new test feature. Users will simply tap a 'Remind Me' button to be kept in the loop about a launch, alongside?full product details, receiving?an in-app notification 15 minutes before the end of the countdown. Possibly one for River's B2C clients to bear in mind if rolled out globally in time for Black Friday...
Digital Avatars Make Their?Way Onto TikTok???
It is predicted that in future digital depictions of people will grow in their importance of how we interact online. Therefore it's?no?surprise that?TikTok has launched its own avatar creation tools. These avatars are available?via the 'Effects' panel in the camera view; a functionality similar to Apple's Memoji. If you decide to create your own over the weekend, let us know what they look like!
