In honour of Pride Month, TikTok have announced their new group of 15 "Visionary Voices" from the LGBTQIA+ community, providing them increased exposure and opportunities on the platform.
They have also launched their #ShopWithPride campaign which will promote LGBTQIA+-owned businesses through TikTok's in-app Shop Tab starting June 1st.
TikTok will host a #ForYourPride hub and "Pride on LIVE" series, featuring live streams and conversations with LGBTQIA+ creators.
Finally, TikTok is sponsoring the Gayming Awards’ "Best LGBTQ Indie Game" category and launching a #PrideAnthems playlist on the Sounds page.

Facebook wants to help build the next generation of social media for young adults. Their aim is to attract young adults by improving the relevance of Reels and Feed, enhancing video viewing, and offering better monetization for creators.
Initiatives like Facebook Marketplace, Reels, Facebook Groups, and Facebook Dating are being used to regain youth interest.
Despite some growth, Facebook trails behind Snapchat and TikTok in youth engagement, with significant competition ahead.
Meta’s long-term strategy involves aligning with young users to drive adoption of its metaverse experience.
