Queen Elizabeth II (6 February 1952 – 8 September 2022)

Today is the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. The UK has been in a state of national mourning since the 8th September and today the Elizabethan era finally comes to a close when Her Majesty is laid to rest in St George's Chapel in Windsor. It's a National Bank Holiday so that as many of the citizens here can follow the proceedings including the Westminster Abbey service, a funeral cortege and military procession across London. The funeral will be broadcast from 11.00, and you can watch it on BBC

I thought long and hard about whether I should delay posting this newsletter today but I know that the readership here is international and I wanted to do due respect to you also, so here it is. I hope that you will accept a slightly truncated version today, covering mainly events, career moves and community initiatives, before we go back to normal service next week.

A true industry veteran with the 'scars on this back' from decade long stint in corporate TA, few if any have the sort of confidence in analysis combined with fluency in communication to do this type of role. Ebony Lawless-McCrea joins Indeed as Senior Technical Recruiter, having worked previously in exec search and tech hiring on agency side. Great first move in-house, working as TA for one of the most significant recruitment technology businesses around. Fascinating move - good luck Ebony!
