I remember having a conversation with CEO Jerome Ternynck at the very early days of the company and it's been fantastic to witness the development of the product to being one of the leading next generation players in the field. Here's a product which solves some universal problems that recruiters face - too many tools, too little integration between those tools. Some interesting features in this platform which I don't think would have emerged had the founder not himself had recruiting experience at the coalface. Great to see this, especially coming from Asia. Read about it here

Who's Moving?

Kyle Lagunas joins Aptitude Research as Head of Strategy and Principal Analyst. Never mind Kyle, I am excited to see this move, there are enough great TA professionals in the world but not enough folks who are great sector analysts. This move should improve the overall access to talent intelligence the rest of us need. Congratulations Kyle and well done Madeline!

Aylin Abdullah joins Scandit as Director of Employer Brand and Talent Acquisition, after spending 4 years leading the EB at global semiconductor giant ARM. I first met Aylin at BGL I believe, and one of the very great pleasures of doing brainfood is to able to witness the career progress of the people I have the good fortune to encounter. Congratulations Aylin - this looks like a big job!

Christian Portig joins Atlassian as Manager, Talent Acquisition having spent the last two years in the delivery scale up sector with Getir and Justeat Takeaway. Atlassian have quietly been one of the most successful businesses of the past decade, I can think of few organisations who are better positioned for 'whatever the future may hold' than them. Great move Christian!

Giovanni Di Felice joins Delivery Hero as Team Lead Talent Acquisition - Product & Design after having spent time with fellow Berlin based scale up Zalando, whilst previously also with foodspring and foodpanda. Delivery Hero hiring roles on Brainfood Jobs - one of the few big scale ups still on tear - keep on eye on these guys

So it has finally happened - after having dodged it for the past 2 1/2 years, the 'rona has finally got me. Perfect timing as this is the week where I meant to travel to Gothenberg and Gdansk - now longer happening ?? and Milan and Madrid in jeopardy also. I suppose it had to happen at some point, but the timing could not have been worse. Still, I guess I have been lucky to avoid it thus far, now I am in the club!
