“That might be difficult” – Politely raise concerns: “That might be difficult due to current budget constraints.”
Negotiation Idioms We Practiced:
“Sweeten the deal” – Add an incentive to make your offer irresistible.
“Back to the drawing board” – When a plan needs a complete reset.
“The ball is in your court” – It’s time for the other party to make a decision.
Challenge: Try using one of these idioms in your own work this week!
Grammar Focus:First Conditional:
For real possibilities. Example: “If you order 5,000 units, we will offer a 10% discount.”
