My Week

Week of Agilemania opening their new cute office !! I am meeting some of my amazing co-workers for the first time. Remote work was so normalised, we have almost forgotten the "human" part of the work. Truth be told, I felt remote work is better, but now I have doubts. We got so much of brainstorming done in the 4 hours on 16th than the last one year combined. No escaping from the people in front of us. I will share more as we move...

And, one more opportunity to meet more humans!! I am at Singapore for a private class. Excited to teach in-person. These 2 months, will have multiple in-person classes and connections.

Giving back to the community

When think of the learners / leaders and members of Agile community whom I was lucky enough to know, always thought about constructive ways to give back. I know there are a lot of ways, but what is easy, quick and efficient ? One of the ways that stuck me, connecting to leaders and collaborators is to open up the calendar. I have marked my LinkedIn profile with an open calendar for us to connect.

Future

Look out for some exciting community building activities from Agilemania in the coming months.

I will be travelling to Singapore 3 times and Kuala Lumpur once in the coming month for few private assignments and the in-person SPC class !! Excited to meet old and new friends !! If you are around, DM me, coffee is on me !!

Books I am reading

Meeting friends means travel. More time for Audible !! I will leave the book names with no comments of mine. A book is always a treasure and not knowing before exploring is a positive.

The Paradox of Choice: Why more is less by Barry Schwartz

Still reading and digesting this book. Lot of new insights to take away !!

There are 4 more books in the kitty and not enough time to listen. This is a good problem to have. A very good problem.

An Interesting Thought

Keeping the same thought as of last week as I experimented the hybrid class in my in-person private class at Singapore. Watch out for my learnings from here.

The in-person SPC class will now be hybrid and you will have an option to join in-person or online. We talk a lot about Hybrid, why not run one session in that format? Happy to simulate PI planning in a HYBRID Model. What more can I ask from life as a trainer/consultant to try the opportunities !!!

A Wicked Problem and my Biased Opinion

The ask was, "why not talk about a problem and a potential solution". I did add my spin of Wicked Problem and Biased Opinion. If you have one, do let me know and I will be happy to answer here.

Wicked Problem: In-person or Online?

Regular Answer: Whatever works for you.

Biased Opinion: We all enjoyed the traffic less, easy clothing online and many of us are sometime missing the in-person. More than what works for you, it is what makes sense for that day. Need to brainstorm, talk endlessly to open new opportunities? Meet and greet please. Want to get a planned thing done? Online and away, please. By the way, this may not work for you. Try your own !!
