This week marked 4 years in business!

When we hit big milestones, I like to take the opportunity to drop our marketing hat for a moment and speak in real terms about the nature of being in business, running a creative company, growing a team and dealing with the rollercoaster of highs and lows that this journey inevitably brings.

When I started my business in 2016, I didn’t want to play the same part each day, feeling bored and unfulfilled. I didn’t even think of what I was going into as a ‘business’, it was just a way of doing what I loved, when I wanted to do it.

My first and only goal was to pay the rent on my 1-bed flat. If I could do that then I’d be happy. Of course (being human), when the business began to gain some traction, I wanted more. I discovered there were REAL people out there who were willing to pay REAL money for what I could offer. Through a LOT of networking, some very bright, eye-catching and colourful headshots and hours and hours of hard graft, I managed to create something that is now just a little bit bigger than just me.

On our 4th birthday, we’re a team of 4. We’re on the cusp of an exciting rebrand and we’re growing! I question my decisions and actions every single day, getting where you want to go in life is never easy. There have been some incredibly difficult, stressful and vulnerable moments. But despite all of that, the highs always outweigh the lows. The ability to change and create in this business without the limitations of a strict industry feels free and is empowering. Our happiest days are full of creativity, ideas and I feel deeply proud of the small team around me!

To have the team be actively engaged with my dreams for a larger than life entity, developing a brand that was created to produce incredible work for our clients that in turn fulfil their dreams and celebrate their teams, is something that fills me with optimism.
