A week in the life of....

Reflecting back on this past week, working with 15 clients in; Manufacturing, Distribution, Stonemasonry, Media, Care Provision, Construction, Electricals and Fire, Property and more. Travelling globally between Australia, Ireland, northern and southern England and Scotland, I was asked by one client..."How do you do it? How do you jump around so much yet stay in the moment?"

The answer is just that - staying in the moment, giving 100% focus and attention to the person in front of me. Taking on their thoughts, mind-sets and belief systems, spending that time putting myself into their life, see the world through their eyes and observe how others view them. Only by doing this can I do justice to that partnership, take stock, evaluate, capture and feedback with complete clarity and honesty. There is no dancing, there is truth, accountability and action to take.

There is no magic wand in getting to where you want to be. There is bravery, courage, openess, raw emotion and pain, determination and a grip on the wheel of change.

Each person, or business, I engage with has the whole of me for that time. When I travel to the next meeting or session, that time is then used to process, digest, plan and package the stragety for the growth and success of my client's pathway. Then Emma and I will work collaborativley to feed this back and focus on next steps.

My working day regularly begins at 6am and finishes late, yet I do have the work/life balance that so many of my partnerships feel they cannot achieve. How does this happen? The most important part of any day or week - when I walk in the front door, leave the business right outside and embrace my famiily as husband and father. I take in their day and week, their trials and adventures, issues and emotions and hold on tight to it all - because it matters, far more than my own day, is my family knowing that they matter to me. Unconditional love, in your family, in yourself, in others and in everything you do with those that impact in your life.
