Contract for Indonesian Navy's New Fast Attack Craft
Our business area Kongsberg Maritime has secured a contract to supply advanced propulsion and manoeuvring technology for two new KCR-70 Fast Attack Craft for the Indonesian Navy. These vessels are currently under construction at the Sefine Shipyard in Türkiye.
The Kongsberg Maritime equipment package includes an innovative propulsion system that combines twin controllable pitch propeller (CPP) Promas systems for high efficiency at patrol speeds with a single Kamewa waterjet to provide boost power for high-speed operation.
Exploring New Collaborations During Visit to Ukraine
Last week, our business area Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace visited Kyiv to meet with Ukraine’s Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov. The meeting followed efforts initiated last year by several of our teams to explore new avenues for collaboration.
The NASAMS Air Defence System have been in service with Ukrainian forces since November 2022, when the first batteries were delivered. KONGSBERG has also provided additional systems to help Ukraine counter incoming drones.
Delivers First REACH REMOTE USV
A new era of offshore operations has begun with the successful delivery of REACH REMOTE 1, a 24-metre unmanned surface vessel (USV) designed by our business area Kongsberg Maritime. This ground-breaking achievement marks a significant milestone through collaboration between Kongsberg Maritime, REACH SUBSEA ASA, Massterly (a Kongsberg Wilhelmsen joint venture) , and Trosvik Maritime.
Designed to revolutionise offshore operations, the REACH REMOTE 1 is packed with cutting-edge KONGSBERG technology. Its delivery follows a programme of intensive sea trials, overseen by classification society Det Norske Veritas ( DNV ) and the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

Enhanced Defence Equipment Collaboration Discussions with France
France's Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu visited Norway on January 16, during which the two countries signed a letter of intent for closer defence cooperation, emphasizing France's role as an important ally to Norway.
The French Minister of Defence expressed his intent to deepen cooperation in capabilities, leveraging the industrial expertise of both countries, which share the same requirements and exhibit a high level of maturity and complementarity. Lecornu also highlighted that the French armed forces benefit from various KONGSBERG systems, including those used in the hydrographic fleet and seabed control, demonstrated by France’s recent acquisition of a HUGIN.

Our business area Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has appointed Ronny Opsj?n Langset as Executive Vice President Naval Surface Ships, with responsibilities for key initiatives such as standardised vessels.?
Langset head up KONGSBERG's office in ?lesund, which was launched last year to strengthen the company’s naval activities, in close cooperation with business areas Kongsberg Maritime and Kongsberg Discovery and in the heart of the Norwegian maritime cluster??
