Selected for New Peruvian Navy Frigate Programme
Our business area Kongsberg Maritime has a won a contract to supply its controllable pitch propeller systems for the first ship in the Peruvian Navy’s new frigate programme.
The new frigates are based on the HD HHI HDF-3200 frigate design. They will have a displacement of 3,400 tonnes, length of 127 metres and a maximum speed of 26.5 knots. They are designed for long range patrol capacity with a range of 6,000 nautical miles.
To Enhance Beyond Visual Line of Sight Capabilities
Kongsberg Geospatial has entered a strategic partnership with Volatus Aerospace to advance Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) capabilities in Canada and internationally.
Together, they are testing and validating the IRIS Terminal to support BVLOS operations with enhanced situational awareness, utilizing advanced sensors for both cooperative and non-cooperative air traffic. This collaboration will support safe and efficient airspace management across key sectors, including Public Safety, Energy, and Infrastructure.
Safe Autonomous Navigation Systems for Shipping
Safe autonomous navigation systems for shipping, a project were our two business areas, Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg Discovery, together with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Torghatten/Bast? Fosen, and DNV, are collaborating to develop?advanced?navigation systems.
Data from radars and cameras are analyzed and fused with?AIS data (real-time digital information about ships' position, direction, speed, etc.) and a digital chart (ECDIS)?to enhance situational awareness.

Setting Out to Deploy Near-Shore Hydrogen Solutions

Launching New Microsatellite to Deliver Maritime Surveillance Services to Norway
Our business area Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace have signed a contract with the European Space Agency - ESA for the realization of one satellite for the precursors mission of the Arctic Ocean Surveillance (AOS) project that will deliver space-based maritime surveillance services for the Norwegian Government.
US Marine Corps Initiates Full-Rate Production
Our business area Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has received a contract from the US Marine Corps for long lead items, signaling the start of full-rate production for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle 30mm program (ACV-30). The items included in the USD 51 million contract are subcomponents specific to the 30mm remote turret, manufactured by KONGSBERG in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
