People Ops changing. Traditionally, People Ops professionals
While understandable on paper since HR and Recruiting are often the largest groups on a People team, in reality, PeopleOps and RecOps have different approaches, tooling, and mindsets. There is also a learning curve for either group transitioning into the other's space
All this to say, the combination is possible but it isn't easy. If your company does currently have these two roles as separate functions, RecOps professionals - take it as an opportunity to stretch and cross-train
