Hello Shelterforce,
In two weeks, President-elect Donald Trump will retake the White House.
Will Trump’s administration carry through with any of the drastic changes he and his allies have threatened against affordable housing programs and agencies?
We report on the upheaval that could be coming to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development this year, and what it could mean for affordable housing funding, fair housing, and more. We also did some digging on the financial regulations that are closely tied to housing and neighborhood investment programs, and spoke with several organizations to learn whether some of the more drastic proposals could come to fruition. Check out those stories below.
Thanks to your support during our end-of-the-year fundraising campaign, you can continue to count on us for more comprehensive reporting as the new administration takes office, and coverage of a lot more. We’ve got great things planned for this year.
