Gamma drives enterprise growth with Brightcloud buy

Gamma has acquired BrightCloud Group - A Gamma Company to expand its contact centre and customer experience expertise and drive enterprise growth across Europe.

The acquisition enhances Gamma’s strategic partnership with 思科 with BrightCloud serving as the vendor’s leading European Enterprise partner for CCaaS.

This enables Gamma to capitalise on the CX transformation growth opportunity, specifically across the European Enterprise and Public Sectors markets.

Andrew Belshaw , CEO at Gamma, said: “BrightCloud has a strong reputation in the Cisco ecosystem and in-depth expertise in supporting CCaaS implementations and CX transformations.

Westcoast and Also tie-up creates distie giant

Westcoast Limited has entered a strategic partnership with ALSO Group to bolster its global presence and drive growth for both entities.

Joe Hemani, Chairman of Westcoast, which boasted a turnover of £4.2 billion in 2023, will become one of the main shareholders in ALSO which provides over 1.5 million seats access to the cloud.

He said: “This is an alliance of two highly successful businesses sharing the same mindset of growth.

“The continuity of the business, which is paramount for vendors, customers, and our team alike, is secured with this move.”?

ALSO's Chairman, Gustavo M?ller-Hergt added: "We already have a successful collaboration and this next level opens opportunities for us to scale our business and benefit from the expertise of the UK team.

“For our customers it means the highest level of expertise in IT provisioning, cutting-edge infrastructure solutions, and services via digital platforms such as cloud, AI, IoT and cybersecurity."

The merger is pending regulatory approval.


DBSL and HoduSoft partner for CC and CX suite

DBSL is collaborating with HoduSoft to bring the vendor’s omnichannel CX suite and contact centre Software to the UK market.

The partnership enables DBSL - Destiny Business Solutions Limited to offer a fuller suite of communication channels, including voice, email, SMS, WhatsApp, JotForm, and TypeForm.

Openreach passed 15 million premises built

Openreach ’s FTTP network now passes 15 million premises according to its latest trading update.

The incumbent has achieved a record FTTP build of over one million premises passed in the quarter at an average build rate of 78k per week.

Its footprint includes 4.2m rural premises passed and around a further six million where initial build is underway.

Take up on the Openreach network is at 35% with net adds of 387k. Its FTTP customer base surpassed five million during the quarter with orders up 29% year on year.

BT’s overall adjusted revenue was down 2% from Q1 FY24 to £5.1bn due to legacy managed contract declines. EBITDA was up 1% to £2.1bn.

CEO Allison Kirkby said “In Consumer, the widespread availability of FTTP and 5G combined with our new EE propositions has contributed to an improved trend in our customer base.

“In Business, we also saw improved trends, as we continue to modernise our portfolio and our operations towards a simpler business.”


Wildix drives 31% YoY revenue growth in UK

Wildix has surpassed one million paid users on its UcaaS platform, driving 31% year-on-year revenue growth in the UK and 36% globally.

According to CEO Steve Osler this underscored a growing global demand for AI-driven solutions.

?“This highlights our ability to meet the needs of companies seeking to enhance sales through AI-UCaaS integrated with CRM,” he said.

Andrew Katsuba, CFO at Wildix, added: "Since achieving debt-free profitability in 2014, we have reinvested in innovation and global expansion and are enhancing business communication and collaboration to meet the evolving needs of modern workplaces.”
