Mobility: Kr?mer Motorcycles Working on a Naked Super Bike

Kr?mer Motorcycles, known for its race-ready motorcycles, is reportedly developing a new naked super bike, the "Super Hooligan Concept." This project, in collaboration with Bagoros Performance, is based on the GP2-890R platform and aims to create a 140kg super hooligan Kr?mer concept bike.

The bike features a new triple clamp, clip-ons, handlebars, and a skid plate, with the removal of the 890R’s fairings. The Super Hooligan Concept represents a shift for Kr?mer, known for full-fairing machines, into the naked bike segment.

The concept is part of a broader trend in the industry, where naked bikes are becoming more prevalent at track days and races. The project's success could lead to a production series, offering a unique track-happy naked bike from Kr?mer.

Digital Product Passport: New Standard for Circular Plastics Aims to Ensure Higher Quality

Cirplus, Europe's largest digital procurement platform for recycled plastics, in collaboration with the IKK — Institute of Plastics and Circular Economy and the Kunststoff-Institut Luedenscheid, has developed a new standard, DIN SPEC 91481, to improve the quality assurance of polyamide-based recyclates.

This standard aims to correct previously insufficient data quality and provide clear guidelines for the classification and description of waste and recyclates, simplifying trade in recycled plastics.

Additionally, a concept for a digital product passport for recycled plastics and waste along the entire value chain has been developed, which can be implemented at the European level.

This initiative is expected to ensure the data quality of the material over its entire life cycle and create and legally pass on often-missing information at the raw material level, facilitating the use and procurement of recycled plastics and contributing to a more CO2-neutral recycling economy in the plastics industry.

AI: Humans Prefer ‘Real’ Art to AI Art, But Struggle to Tell the Difference

A study from Bowling Green State University reveals that while people often cannot differentiate between AI-generated and human-created art, they tend to prefer the latter. Participants in the study correctly identified the source of the artwork only about 50-60% of the time, with low confidence in their guesses.

Despite this, they experienced more positive emotions in response to human artwork, associating it with intense feelings like nostalgia, attraction, and amusement. The study highlights the subjective nature of art perception and the emotional connection people have with human-made art.

This preference persists even as AI tools like DALL-E and Midjourney produce increasingly sophisticated and indistinguishable artworks. The findings suggest that while AI art is becoming more human-like, there is still a distinct preference for the human touch in artistic creations.
