Instagram had first tested its NFT features with select creators in May 2022, and in November 2022, it allowed a handful of creators to start selling NFTs on the platform.?
The move has shocked many creators, especially as the company had only recently rolled out the features.?

Doge enthusiasts can now make a pilgrimage to Sakura, Japan, the home of Kabosu, the wide-eyed Shiba Inu that inspired the original Doge meme and the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. Brands are using content creators such as Seun Ogunsola and Evelyn Smith to promote their sales, with platforms including 260 Sample Sale and The Box seeing increased attendance as a result of the trend.?
Fashion label Shrimps uses sample sales to understand more about its customers, while The Box has worked to improve the shopping environment by introducing changing rooms and cloakrooms for coats and bags.?
Sample sales offer a touch of exclusivity, too, with some offering limited tickets and VIP access to generate excitement among customers.
