At Investor Day on March 1, questions about Tesla's new cars were asked, but Elon Musk and his team dodged the questions.

The two silhouettes of cars on the presentation slides hint at a big car that will cost $300 million to make.?

The other car should sell 700 million units, and Tesla plans to phase out the 12-volt low-voltage system and switch to 48 volts across its entire lineup.?

This would allow Tesla to achieve huge economies while offering improved performance. Tesla likens the transition to the transition from 6-volt to 12-volt electrical systems in cars during the 1960s.

Tesla's Cybertruck will have a 48-volt electrical system, which means that 16 times less power will be lost and that the e-fuses and heatsinks can be made smaller.?

The drive motors and power electronics will use 75% fewer silicon carbide transistors and no rare-earth materials. This will let Tesla make most car parts in the U.S. without having to get materials from China.?

The electric motors will also use a technology called a "hairpin stator," which makes them smaller while giving them more torque.

The Sandbox is an Ethereum-based metaverse game that allows users to purchase digital real estate as NFTs called "LAND," which can then be customized and monetized in-game.?

The Sandbox COO and co-founder Sebastien Borget highlighted how other metaverse firms like Roblox and Fortnite do not allow users to move their digital assets between platforms freely, so it is essential that users have true digital ownership of their content.?

The Sandbox is set to host its first concert later this year, putting it in competition with rivals such as Roblox and Decentraland.?

Saweetie, a hip-hop artist, sang and did motion-captured dance moves at a virtual Super Bowl concert that the NFL and Roblox put on together recently.

NFT: Bored Ape Yacht Club Creator Yuga Labs Reveals First Bitcoin NFT Project

Yuga Labs, the $4 billion company that made the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, will launch its first Bitcoin-based NFT project, TwelveFold, which is made up of 300 limited-edition pieces of generative art that are each written to the Bitcoin blockchain.?

The project was designed and created by Yuga's in-house art team and will have no connection to its Ethereum-based IP. Ordinals are the new way of committing artwork and media to Bitcoin by permanently attaching each to an individual Satoshi, or 1/100,000,000 of a full Bitcoin.?

Yuga Labs, the parent company of BAYC, has announced that it will be auctioning Ordinal inscriptions on Bitcoin later this week. Ordinals have been getting a lot of attention in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) over the past month. Some Bitcoin maximalists don't like the idea of NFT-like assets being written on the blockchain, but the idea is catching on in a big way.?

Yuga's move into Bitcoin non-fungible tokens (Bitcoin NFTs) also comes at a time when the company's most reliable source of income seems to be in danger.?

OpenSea stopped collecting some royalties so it wouldn't have to compete with Blur, which was becoming more popular.?

A.P.C., the independent French brand founded by Jean Touitou in 1987, has agreed to sell a majority stake to investment firm L. Catterton, forming a strategic partnership to grow the brand internationally.?

Jean and his wife, Judith Touitou, who is the artistic director, will continue to lead the French brand, which specializes in unpretentiously cool and classic clothes and accessories.?

CEO Fran?ois-Cyrille de Rendinger will move into the role of president, and current deputy CEO Jo?l Sraer will become CEO.?

The company currently operates 102 stores and has 380 stockists across five continents, with 80% of its sales made outside of France.?

L Catterton, which is backed by LVMH, has recently invested in Etro, Birkenstock, Savage x Fenty, Gentle Monster, and Ganni. The goal is to keep the brand values while improving the value proposition.

Jean is proudly independent, but the experience of running the business during the pandemic changed his and Judith's perspectives.?

The deal is expected to close by the end of the quarter.

Web3: Decentralized Twitter Spin-Off Bluesky Now on App Store in Beta

Bluesky is a federated alternative to Twitter, backed by Jack Dorsey, and is now available on the App Store in private beta mode.

It has an interface similar to Twitter, with home, search, notification tabs, and user profiles displaying the number of other people they follow and who follows them.

?It also allows users to share other people's content by reposting it. The Authenticated Transfer Protocol, or AT Protocol, is a federated social network that offers interoperability between devices, easily portable accounts, and open algorithms.?

The Bluesky app is the first to be built on top of the protocol, with developers promising it would be a portal to the world of possibility.

The launch of the Bluesky app comes just a month after another Dorsey-backed project, Nostr, went live with its first app, Damus.?

China quickly banned the Damus app, but this just made free speech supporters like Dorsey like protocols even more.

The Nouns DAO gave money to the project, which used 3D-printed materials to make clothes using open-source IP based on NFT.?

At NFT Paris, fashion designer Danit Peleg showed her first collection of clothes inspired by NFT.?

The project's open-source, Creative Commons 0 (CC0) model drew her in, allowing anyone to contribute.

The Ethereum NFT-based project Nouns, which is building open-source intellectual property, has funded a wide range of projects, such as comic books, TV pilots, a float in the Rose Parade, other fashion projects, and even a cameo by Noggles in a Bud Light Super Bowl ad.?

Nouns co-founder 4156 said that the project was focused on creating opportunities for people with deep expertise within their own fields to collaborate with an open-source brand.

At some point, 3D-printed Nouns clothing will come out, and Peleg is thinking about doing an open-edition NFT drop for digital assets.
