2. Crypto: Emirates accepts Bitcoin payments

4. NFT: Spotify to launch NFTs album
In a time of great difficulty for the NFT market (as daily NFT sales dropped by 92 percent globally, from 225 thousand in September 2021 to 19 thousand at the beginning of May), a boost to the sector could come from Spotify.?
The music streaming platform announced the start of the project's testing phase that will allow artists to showcase their NFTs to accompany songs and albums.
From Spotify, they explained that the first to get involved will be the DJ and producer Steve Aoki and the British band the Wombats.
The NFTs will then be available for acquisition through the popular OpenSea Marketplace.
5. Fashion: Luisaviaroma launched Wear3 Project
The founder of the €200 million revenue etailer, Andrea Panconesi, is launching the new Wear3 project through the start-up Avawear.
The project is called Wear3 and is a marketplace on which NFTs of wearable apparel can be acquired in the metaverse or other digital environments.?
Wear3 integrates with the Mod4 game app developed by Avawear in 2020, which allows users to collect clothes, participate in virtual fashion shows, run competitions, vote for stylists, and most importantly, win points from the fidelity program that can be spent on the purchase of real clothes on Luisaviaroma.com.
This latest innovation would represent a real breakthrough as it would be one of the first brands to create a metaverse in which NFTs are usable in a long-lasting way.
6. Tech: Gucci inaugurates Gucci Town on Roblox
Gucci is making its presence inside of Roblox a "little more" permanent.
The fashion brand is now releasing a more persistent space called Gucci Town. The space features a central garden that links together various areas, including a space for mini-games, a cafe, and a virtual store where players can, of course, purchase virtual Gucci gear for their Roblox avatar.?
Gucci says that more than 20 million players visited the garden last year, despite it only being available for two weeks, and it expects the new space to steadily evolve.
Strange as the partnership may seem, it’s also something of a natural evolution for Gucci, which has done plenty of dabbling in the video game space of late.?
In addition to releasing Roblox experiences, the fashion company also teamed up with esports organization 100 Thieves for a backpack and Microsoft for a very expensive Xbox.?
Many big names in fashion have entered into similar collaborations, including Balenciaga with Fortnite, Burberry with Honor of Kings, and Longchamp with Pokémon Go.
