Internet Computer Developments

• The idea of Blockchain Singularity does not mean an environmental catastrophe. The Internet Computer, in contrast, has been shown to be greener and produce less CO2 than traditional IT.?Dominic Williams presented evidence?of its efficiency at the NOAH Conference in Zurich.
• The updated Bitcoin Dashboard on the Internet Computer is now available. This is the first-ever integration with Bitcoin at the protocol level and showcases the strength of the ICP Chain-Key technology.
• The NNS FE dapp has been?upgraded with the ICP proposal 106377 to support ckBTC, and can now be accessed?here.?In the future, it will also have the capability to convert BTC to ckBTC and back.
• The Internet Identity team of the Internet Computer has?plans for 2023 to improve the Internet Identity?frontend with a refreshed design, clear and concise language to make the Internet Identity feature more user-friendly and accessible for new users.
• DFINITY Developers has released a new update for the language feature “Motoko”. This update includes the ability to catch send errors and a beta release of Candid.

• The Internet Computer developers have received support through?multiple grants from Dfinity. They are now ready to release their project to the public,The official launch of icpipeline is approaching and early access and open beta testing will soon be available. Be among the first to try it out
• Shinjuku High’s Dynamic Digital Collectibles and integration with the Metaverse are?providing a new experience on the Internet Computer.?This multimedia project has been made possible by the capabilities of the Internet Computer.
• UnfoldVR are working to bring the features from their MetaQuest2 VR app to their ICP Web app. The goal is to bring the same fun and enjoyment to the web app as the VR app provides. A new drawing from their team was teased.
• A live video was hosted by VictorICPSquad and Chepreghy from Dfinity, where they talked about the new ckBTC token and Bitcoin integration. You can check them out?here
• The team behind the hotornot_dapp has relocated to San Francisco for a limited time. They invite people in the area to reach out to them and schedule a get-together.
• InfinitySwap has written a blog post?discussing the benefits of Proof-of-Useful-Work (PoUW), the consensus protocol used by the Internet Computer, compared to other consensus methods used by other blockchain networks.
• The team at BOXY DUDE has?released an outline of their whitepaper. This document outlines their plans and proposals, however, they note that things may change and they may even add to it in the future.

• New York University (NYU) is partnering with Near Protocol to launch a?Web3 learning workshop. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the technology behind the Web3 industry.
• EtherMail, a provider of anonymous and encrypted Web3 email communication, has integrated with Unstoppable Domains, a leader in the Web3 domain space with over 3 million registered domains. The integration aims to expand the Web3 communication network.
• The?Web3 community has joined forces to support those affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in southeastern Turkey. Efforts are being made to raise awareness and provide aid to those affected by the tragedy.
• Hermès International SA, a luxury brand, was successful in its lawsuit?against digital artist Mason Rothschild over the sale of “MetaBirkin” non-fungible tokens. The Manhattan federal jury ruled that the sale of the NFTs violated Hermès’ rights to the “Birkin” trademark.
