1) $5Bn Moon Dubai resort could soon welcome tourists and astronauts alike
MOON Dubai Resort, is a spherical structure that will soon add a space-age aesthetic to Dubai’s ever-evolving skyline! The proposal belongs to Canadian venture called Moon World Resorts Inc. The resort will be 735ft. tall and take around 48 months to complete.

UK’s leading roofing contractor Avonside has gone into administrator. Over 250 people are at risk of losing jobs. Pandemic pressures, underperforming teams, financial reporting issues and reducing margins were stated as some of the primary reasons.

Sandi Toilet, a water-less toilet is designed by recent Brunel University of London graduate Archie Read. The water-less toilet uses a conveyor belt to get rid of solid waste. The belt is operated manually and drops waste into a bin. The product works without plumbing or electricity needs.

7) Middle East’s first Vertical Forest building 60% complete
Egypt’s ARCHPLAN Developments has completed 60% of Il Cuore Verde, a $16 million commercial project in New Administrative Capital. The 7-storey structure is spread over 3,400 square metres and includes 110 commercial units.

UAE has one of the world’s highest charging station-to-vehicle ratios in the world! The country ranked 8th in the world for EV readiness. UAE plans to go carbon neutral by 2050, the electric market is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 30% between 2022 and 2028.
9) IAAC team 3D prints zero-waste housing prototype using local earth
Barcelona’s IAAC and Italian 3D printer WASP have collaborated to create a first ever 3D printed structure made completely from local material and 3d printing technology in spain. Named ‘TOVA’, the project was created by a group of 3D printing architecture postgraduate students from Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia .
10) MPA tests brick waste cement
Mineral Products Association is leading research into how recycled clay can be used for low carbon cement. The 2-year project is being funded by Innovate UK Business Connect and has potential to reduce waste by 1.4 million tonnes and cut the embodied CO2 of cement by between 20% and 40%.

20) North America completes first 2-storey 3D printed building
Canada-based 3D printing construction company nidus3D has completed printing of a 2-storey building in Ontario, Canada. Printed with COBOD International 's Bod 2 printer, the structure is 2,300 square feet in area with a studio on the ground floor, and a residence on the first floor.
