Improving care & support for dementia patients with Design
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) and Dementia India Alliance (DIA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advocacy, outreach, training, research work and support services for dementia care. According to Bengaluru-based NIMHANS, a premier institute for mental health and neuroscience in India, the collaboration aims to improve the overall quality of life of persons with dementia and their family caregivers through various modalities.
AI art: The end of creativity or the start of a new movement?
Artificial intelligence is being used to generate paintings, images and even sculptures, with some selling for thousands of dollars. Do we need to reframe our definition of art? It seems like a moment of creative expression. But this is no ordinary artist – she is the world's first humanoid robot artist, Ai-Da. By design, her very existence brings into question how we define art, and who, or in this case, what, can create it. Will AI algorithms and robots like Ai-Da spell the end of human creativity and artistry, or can they be harnessed to augment our own creative potential?

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal launches new healthtech startup 'Continue' for wellness tracking
Zomato co-founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has reportedly launched a new personal venture called "Continue," which aims to focus on health tracking and mental wellness. Continue.com, branded as "The Ultimate Health Tracker," is currently in stealth mode with limited details available, Moneycontrol reported. The venture is being operated under the legal name Upslope Advisors Pvt Ltd, a company registered in April 2024. Deepinder Goyal has personally funded the venture, with no involvement from Zomato.

As students settle back into classroom routines for the 2024-2025 school year, K–12 teachers and administrators face a host of pressing issues.
