Exertis consolidates into two main divisions to better target prospects

Distributor Exertis has formed two main divisions, covering business and consumer, to more tightly target the markets it serves. At the same time, staff promotions have been announced to support the changes.

“The dedicated divisions, with integrated sales and commercial teams, will result in a streamlined approach, simplifying operations, ensuring a more seamless experience for customers, and delivering faster support and enhanced collaboration,” maintained Exertis.

The business division will focus on AV, components, IT solutions, mobile, and print. The consumer division will major on the retail product and solutions market.

“These changes are designed to make us more agile and responsive to the market, while fully leveraging our specialist knowledge and optimised services,” said Tim Griffin, CEO of Exertis IT. “The integration of sales and commercial functions ensures a simpler, more efficient customer experience.”

Jonathan Sutherland has been named as managing director of Exertis consumer, and Jamie Brothwell is now managing director of Exertis business. In addition, Paul Jacobs becomes trading director, and Lisa Bird takes on the role of sales operations and 3PL director. All will report to Phillip Turner, chief commercial officer at Exertis.



Commvault continues to generate big increases in sales

Nasdaq-listed cloud data management vendor Commvault has posted its fourth quarter in a row with double-digit sales growth.

For the second quarter ended 30 September, 2024, total revenues were $233.3m, up 16% year-over-year.

Total annualised recurring revenue (ARR) grew to $853m, up 20% year-over-year. Subscription revenue was $134m - up 37% annually - and subscription ARR grew to $687m, a 30% increase.

The firm’s net profit for the quarter rose from $13m to $15.6m annually.

“Keeping customers resilient and their businesses continuous has never been more critical than it is today,” said Sanjay Mirchandani , Commvault president and CEO. “Our strong execution and increasing demand for our innovative Commvault Cloud platform has not only resulted in our fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth, but it has given us the confidence to once again raise our outlook for the full fiscal year.”

Total revenues for the full year are now expected to be between $952m and $957m.

Infinigate widely extends its partnership with data protection titan

Distributor Infinigate Group has expanded its partnership with data protection vendor Acronis across Europe.

Infinigate will now handle Acronis in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, and will extend existing distribution relationships in the UK, Ireland, France, and the Middle East.

Infinigate Cloud’s 6,000-plus MSPs can now benefit from Acronis’ suite of data protection and cyber security services, managed through a single console, “making for a fast and cost-effective addition to their current range of services”, said Infinigate. The Acronis offering will be supported by a dedicated Infinigate cloud centre of excellence (CCoE) team across Europe.

Exclusive Networks extends partnership with Fortinet to Irish market

Exclusive Networks UK has extended its collaboration with Fortinet into the Irish market to address a growing demand for converged networking and security solutions.?

The new partnership combines?Exclusive’s hyper-local expertise and knowledge of the Irish market?with Fortinet’s cybersecurity solutions?to help partners protect and safeguard their customers' businesses in the face of growing cyber threats.
