Within the facilities management sector, OCS has retained a valuable cleaning contract with Great Western Railway (GWR) , extending its contract for three years following a competitive tender process. The contract to clean trains over 197 stations across the network will employ 360 cleaning operatives and see the implementation of the Assure management platform, allowing them to monitor and develop their resources more effectively.

?? Great news for renters has arisen in the property landscape, with 第一太平戴维斯 predicting a £20bn investment in Build-to-Rent property over the next ten years. The past decade has seen £35bn in investments and supported the delivery of 100,000 BtR homes. This news is expected to boost the property management sector and provide more job vacancies for property managers in the next decade.

?? With learning and development in the construction sector being more important than ever, The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) apprenticeship schemes have already seen almost 1,500 apprentices register since 2022, with around 250 passing through.

?? Huge news for Salford as Henley Investment Management Ltd has submitted plans for a £1bn mixed-use development on the boundary of Salford and Manchester. Henley Investment Management Chief Executive Ian Rickwood has said:

"The site will create a green and sustainable neighbourhood that meets the needs of future generations."
