This Week in AI, Web3 and the Metaverse

Hey there,

It’s my birthday today, and what a wild ride it’s been! From my first bday cake on the ranch—back when black-and-white TVs were all the rage and the Internet was just a dream—to this morning, where I kicked things off with an early meeting in the metaverse, one thing’s clear: life moves fast, so don’t blink.

And since we’re talking about changes, I’ve got a few new things rolling out this week. So grab a fork and dig into this big, delicious slice of birthday cake with me. Here’s what’s coming up:

1. Introducing “Web3 Wednesdays”

Starting this Wednesday at 7 AM Pacific / 10 AM Eastern, I’m hosting “Web3 Wednesdays,” a free weekly Metaverse meetup. Each week, I’ll share an important quick 10-15 minute legal/biz tip tailored to the current quickly changing environment in the Web3 space. We’ll then engage in live Q&A and once done, a bit of social networking.

This week’s topic? Key critically important things you need to know with today’s third-party platform and service provider Terms of Service (TOS) agreements. Every creator, artist, entrepreneur, and business owner needs to know this information. It’s a crucial discussion, so don’t miss out—remember, this is a live-only event with no recordings. 2. Pivoting the Podcast: “AI In Law”

I’m excited to announce that season 10 of my podcast is shifting gears to focus on AI. The new season, “AI In Law,” is all about keeping you updated on the latest AI platforms, services, and strategies that matter. Each episode is designed to be quick and concise—usually under 5 minutes—so you can stay informed without it eating into your day. The first five episodes are already live on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Quick heads up, the "Six Step AI Prompt Strategy" episode is about twice the length of the other episodes but I think it's worth every second. Click here or check out episodes below. 3. Exploring Meta’s Ray-Ban (AI) Glasses

And now, a personal note—I’m celebrating today's bday with my new Meta Ray-Ban AI Glasses. As an early user of Google Glass (here's a blast from the past), I’m thrilled about the possibilities of this wearable tech, especially the hands-free texting and call features.

The ability to instantly tap into live video on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook also has my attention. If I’m being honest, my attraction to this device is the wearable Meta AI feature and so far I’m blown away with what the glasses can do. I’ll be testing all of the features out over the next couple of weeks and will share my thoughts in an upcoming post on LinkedIn.

OK, that’s a wrap for this week! After all, I gotta get out of the office and celebrate another day on the top side of the grass!
