A week after our AWS move...
...and all is well. Quiet, even. Yes, we had a few bumps. A few configuration oversights. A few test conditions that didn't get executed.
However, nothing that couldn't be remediated quickly. Zero infrastructure issues. Our daily operations meetings have been boring. The team is recharging, tidying up, and is on track for another blissfully tranquil weekend.
It's fun hearing people talk about "our data center" when they mean AWS. It's amazing how quickly our daily operational rhythms have adapted to a seismic shift in where our physical infrastructure is located.
In other news, the partnership with research, compliance, and security is making progress towards having an environment that can handle Controlled Unclassified Information leveraging GovCloud in time for this December's deadline.
