This week in 3D - Fast Composite, Workflow, Four lasers, and more...

  1. Post printing - Dimensionics launches a machine for checking the density of 3D printed parts.
  2. Electronics - Q5D unveils the CY1000, a robotic machine for electronic wiring that uses 3D printing technology to print electronic insulation on wires.
  3. Polymers - Jabil Inc. introduced PLA 3110P, a new powder based on a renewable biomaterial that offers a bio-based alternative to petrochemical-based powders, such as nylon-12, in powder bed printing.
  4. Worth mentioning - Mark Zuckberg, Meta, one of the most influential people in the world, shows a special interest in 3D printing and publishes projects that he prints himself for his daughters.
  5. Medical - Stanford researchers have developed the ability to use stem cells to 3D print heart tissue. The technique will lead to organs that will be printed on demand from the patient's cells.
  6. Composite - Impossible Objects, a 3D printer and materials company, unveils the new CBAM 25 machine, which they claim prints advanced polymers 15 times faster than the competition.
  7. FDM/FFF - Taiwan printer manufacturer KOKONI launches SOTA, a series of filament printers with a design that centers the bulk of the mass at the bottom of the printer to improve stability and reduce vibrations
  8. SLA - Creality, one of the leading manufacturers of filament printers for hobbyists, releases a series of resin printers called HALOT that use LCD technology for polymerization
  9. Software - Materialize updates the Magics software that is common in the professional world for print preparation. The new version adds capabilities for managing and monitoring the workflow process.
  10. Metal - E-Plus3D adds a new powder bed laser printer to its printer line-up. The new printer has four lasers head and a print build of 405X405X450 mm.
