Week 47
Welcome back to another Element8 Weekly!
The past week has been quite the week of achievement for our partners. In our previous newsletter, we mentioned that Darner Engineering (PTY) Ltd had received their Flow Software Inc. certification.
In the meantime, Serena Bruni from Advansys (Pty) Ltd has been awarded her Inductive Automation Ignition Gold Certificate. We are incredibly proud of Willem Henderson and Serena for achieving their certifications ??
If you are already certified, then we salute you. If not, it's definitely something worth considering!
We offer in-person training courses at our office in Montecasino, Fourways for Canary, Flow and Ignition. These courses cover the ins and outs of each software, and are an excellent way to prepare you for your certification, or to just give you in-depth knowledge about the software.
Feel free to pop us a message any time should you have a question regarding the training ??
The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice. - Brian Herbert
When you hear the word community, what comes to mind?
The dictionary defines community as "a social group whose members have something in common". But it's so much more than that.
A community is a safe space. It's a place (physical or virtual) where its members have a voice, where they are seen, where they feel they belong, where they can be unapologetically themselves without the fear of judgement or ostracisation.
It's also an amazing space where we can share ideas, collaborate, build and learn from each other. Belonging to a community is a beautiful thing, and both Canary and Inductive Automation have succeeded in creating incredible communities for their users. The Canary Community and the Inductive Automation Community are spaces where users can learn about the software, get to know about the latests news and updates, communicate with other users and even share ideas and suggestions for improvement.
If you're a user yourself, and not already part of these communities, we highly recommend joining. And who knows, perhaps we'll be following in their footsteps soon and create an awesome community of our own ??...
Cloud-based technologies are high in demand lately. It might have something to do with the recent pandemic, or with the fact that we're evolving, and so are our technological needs. Being able to access company data anywhere, any time is no longer a "nice to have" but instead a basic need.
The great news is, Inductive Automation will now also be launching a cloud-based technology. Ignition Cloud Edition is scheduled to launch early 2023 and will only be available for purchase through a cloud infrastructure marketplace.
What's awesome about Ignition Cloud Edition is that you'll be able to tailor a solution specific to your needs, utilising both cloud-based and on-premise architectures.
