Week 43 - Return to Center
Jessica Valentine Nelson
Making the workplace one where people are productive, inspired, and enabled to create positive change.
What is a practice or hobby that centers your spirit? Spirit inerchangable with sense of self, purpose, or essence of who you truly are.
This work week #43 of 2024, I encourage you to take time every morning, afternoon, or evening to return to center.
This can be achieved by reading an article related to your field of study, connecting with a mentor or coach for a session, or practicing the sports, activities, or simple activities that help ground you.
The fall season can be airy and often a time for overthinking. Anxiety can heighten as we approach end of year and the holidays, wandering where time went or noticing where we fell short of our new years intentions.
We try to muster up energy for Q4 or close of the calendar year, yet while running on empty (physically, mentally, and energetically), we find that our sense of creativity and natural innovation has run dry.
By practicing habits that return you to center daily this work week, I encourage you if you are on this creative, spiritual, professionally purposeful path to hone in on your unique gifts and differentiated skills.
This practice of learning, growing, and evolving will return you to the highest version of yourself in this moment. If this all sounds conceptional, may it be an invitation to wonder and ponder on your professional purpose as you begin to pull back and go within to discover your own sense of strength, talent, and divine timing for your next opportunity or new horizon.
An inward season does not have to be disconnected from technology or the pace of the modern professional world, it does call you to consider what feels right and true for yourself, the business you work for or in, and how this tapestry of life comes together moment to moment, day by day, week to week.

I once had a kind friend Caitlin who would teach a strenuous Pilates class, then while we were laying in stillness, ask the group to place their hand over their heart and say one kind thing to themselves.
A practical, powerful self-reflection to strengthen our inner relationship and be compassionate toward our human heart center.
Wishing you all a successful work week ahead to embrace and return to center as often or as quietly as you can.
All the love and well wishes,
