It's finally here! Day 219. It's a special day today because I get to sit here in the comfort of the house I grew up in and bring the world some of what I've been thinking about this past week.
I don't know about you, but reading is to me one of the greatest things we can do to organize thoughts in our head and create peace in our day. I usually shoot for a book a month. This past month I read "Shaken" by @Timtebow (idk if that tag works in blogs lol) I've known Tim since he played high school football. He just so happened to play on the same team the same year as my cousins Vince & Nick. I've been through it all watching his career play out, and it was cool to hear his perspective on everything he's endured during his career. It's amazing how well you can get to know a person through their writing.
What stood out to me was a quote he mentions in chapter 10. "Oftentimes we don't dream big enough, & oftentimes we don't start small enough" In his context he is talking about the love we can give to god and others. When I read it I thought immediately about the entrepreneur in me and the entrepreneurial drive in all of us.
This quote is so important and applicable to life, love for others, and business. We can all think of a time when we didn't think big enough or could've done a little more. We can also think of times when we didn't even start something because we overthought the power of taking the first step.

One way I've always found myself overcoming this is through repetition of thought. How many times have you had a big idea and truly asked yourself "What's the next step?" Instead, we skip this question to avoid the feeling of the unknown. I challenge you, whatever idea comes to mind when you read this or to think of something you know you're currently on the sidelines on...
Write out your intention & desire for that thing. Why do you do it? What do you want to accomplish? Then ask yourself "What is the first small step I could take today to bring me closer to this?"
Finally, just listen to yourself, become aware, and observe your thoughts. Whatever message your instincts send you, listen, take action, come back again tomorrow, rinse, and repeat. You have to get the reps of having the thought. You have to get the reps of asking yourself the right questions. Resourceful repetition
