Week 31 - Honor Your Gifts
Jessica Valentine Nelson
Empowering individuals and organizations to develop talent, inspire change, and create meaningful engagement opportunities that reinvent and drive revenue for both the company and our clients.
Talent, skills, competencies, capabilities....however you describe your gifts, take time this week to consider what makes YOU, YOU!
Reflect on what is true.
When we take time to explore our talents and gifts, it is similar to tending to our professional garden.
Sometimes we need to pull weeds, plant seeds, water/nurture, or even allow the soil to rest vs. produce.
If you can embrace your innate talents, you can use your time to cultivate and develop your gifts. When you feel your best, you can give your gifts away without expectation, you can ask for a raise, pivot, or promotion, you can identify why God or the Universe designed your purpose.
If we allow others to dictate or delineate our gifts, or even voice our own self-doubt to amplify our inner critic, we lean away from the light. I want to encourage you to HONOR YOUR GIFTS, treat them like a present you receive or a sacred sentiment from a loved one.
When we cultivate and honor our own gifts, we can help others do the same.

What is a practice that will support you honoring your gifts this week?
Schedule time to evaluate your SKILLS, STRENGTHS, and SUPPORT SYSTEM. Those who can see and expand your gifts. When you cultivate your own goodness and light, it minimizes the dim or darkness that may occur in your professional path.
Start somewhere - honor your unique gifts with gratitude, grace, and grit. And if you began the day or week wanting to give up, give gratitude for your problems and get perspective on how this obstacle is the opportunity for you to solidify your next opportunity to evolve.
I believe in you - believe you deserve better (from yourself and others) too.
Take care and be kind,
