Week of 29th January 2024

My Week

I have started the Enterprise Agile Coach+ Mentoring sessions and we are in week 4. I will be announcing the next cohort end of February. Check the latest post here with your mentors.

Travelled to Chennai for a personal trip and met a friend after long.

Giving back to the community

When think of the learners / leaders and members of Agile community whom I was lucky enough to know, always thought about constructive ways to give back. I know there are a lot of ways, but what is easy, quick and efficient ? Multiple ways to connect !!

  1. If you have a question for me, if you need or plan to give a suggestion, or just want to catch up, do it so here as a 15 minute free consult.
  2. You can schedule a talk / meet-up with me or my esteemed colleagues at Agilemania. Look at this LinkedIn post to know more!
  3. Mentorship program in different tracks !! The current cohort is full and we will be announcing the new batches in a couple of months. https://agilemania.com/agile-mentoring-programMy mentoring sessions on Enterprise Agile Coach+ will start from 11th January and will be running for 15 Weeks.
  4. Started SPC and RTE cohort for the participants in my class. Intent is to create a like minded set of professionals sharing their expertise. If you were in my SPC and RTE class, reach out !!

Future

Look out for some exciting community building activities from Agilemania in the coming months. One thing in the backlog is #AskAshwinee. Started the first in-person meet up on 12th January.

I will have a HYBRID Leading SAFe class on 10th and 11th February. If you want to be part of, please do reach out to me.

The mentoring program for Enterprise Agile Coach+ is on-going and we meet 2 hours every Thursday.

Books I am reading

A slow month of book reading. I have to change this.

Offline / In-person classes means travel. More time for Audible !! I will leave the book names with no comments of mine. A book is always a treasure and not knowing before exploring is a positive.

The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer

There are 5 more books in the kitty and not enough time to listen. This is a good problem to have. A very good problem.

An Interesting Thought

I am planning many in-person classes but they don't run in-person. We end up making them online. Again on the groups there is request to meet, but no common date arrived !! Are we completely used to working from home and feel it is waste of time to travel?

A Wicked Problem and my Biased Opinion

Note : An opinion is already biased, and a bias is no more than an opinion

I am adding this section, which was a suggestion from my learners WhatsApp group (Yes, if you are part of my class you get to be part of this WhatsApp group). The ask was, "why not talk about a problem and a potential solution". I did add my spin of Wicked Problem and Biased Opinion. If you have one, do let me know and I will be happy to answer here.

Wicked Problem: Sessions with games/simulations or without ?

Regular Answer: Should be good as long as learners get what they want.

Biased Opinion: I don't like games in a session. I feel they dilute the theory / research we want to really learn. Rather than a game, can I get a real world implementation?
